1982 -A single classroom with Extended Day founded by Directress Loraine Friedl at Edgewood Church
1985- second classroom added with directresses Lori Graham and Margarita Gonzales
1986 - Montessori Nap, Before and After School programs added
1988 - Nancy Takis joins nap program
1989 -Claire Batt and Nan Thompson - head directresses. Loraine Friedl became full-time administrator
1992 - Rosemarie Turke became directress. Claire Batt started summer program; first Spaghetti Dinner with Bonnie Williams. Nancy Brandon begins Elementary Program.
1994 - Search began for property for a new building and planning with architect
1995 - City of East Lansing rejects plan at 637 E. Saginaw; Nancy Brandon begins Extended Elementary Program
1996 - Capital Campaign begins to successfully raise $100,000
1998 - Ground breaking for Beech Street location. David Potts becomes Jr. El. Director
1999 - Building opens in May---mass move. Nancy Brandon begins Sr. Elementary Program.
2000 - Meg Meyer becomes Business Manager; Loraine returns 1/2 day to teaching; Erin Ruble becomes Primary Directress Amy Gruber starts third Primary classroom. Building dedication and planting of Peace Pole
2001 - Jennifer McDaniels becomes primary directress
2002 - Estelle Chymyck becomes present Business Manager; Laura Groll - office helper
2003 - Nancy Brandon becomes Head of School. Meg Meyer is Senior Elementary teacher. School purchases blue house.
2004 - Nancy Brandon begins Toddler Community in blue house.2005 - Meg Meyer becomes Head of School
2007 School is renamed Stepping Stones Montessori School in East Lansing
